Patricia reports "Robert said he did not want to give a speech however, he would tell a few of his favorite stories!" In case you are not familiar with Robert Fripp's background... Robert Fripp is Rolling Stone magazine's 42nd among the top 100 guitarists of all time. As well as a master guitarist, composer, and producer to many legendary musicians. Founding and on-going member of King Crimson, he has collaborated with and contributed to David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Blondie, and Brian Eno. Robert is as eloquent a speaker as he is a master performer. In 1969 King Crimson went from local to national acclaim in one night. A few months later they launched onto the international stage playing at Hyde Park with the Rolling Stones to an audience of 850,000. "In the Court of the Crimson King" their 1969 album is still selling very well!
From Fripp and Fripp you will hear:
- What the Rabbi said to convey a complex and difficult notion in 15 words.
- How stories can be part of the living present.
- Why David Bowie sent Robert his first First Class airline ticket.
- Why it is so important to remember our roots and honor our parents.
- How Uncle Bill got shot down in October 1945 in a potato field in Germany.
- Why stories are the currency of human contact.
As a bonus...you can shake the hand that shook the hand of Jimi Hendrix.
